I cant say I feel any wiser then when I was 23. However I learned alot from my 23rd year that I hope I can benefit knowing in my 24th. Always not till around this time do I think of a New Years resolution. I think this year its going to be about happiness. Commit to happiness. Since they say laughter is the best medicine. Perhaps if I commit to happiness I can delay possible wrinkles and silver hairs. hehe.

Oh glorious Skype.
I just got to video chat with Chuck and Aisling just now. I seriously cant wait to see that little peanut again. She is getting so big! That girls smile just puts me in such a great mood. She is such a happy morning baby.
Seems like people are slowly getting with the program and getting skype. My friend Tony just got skype and so did Janet. I also have already spoken to Janet via skype on here phone. Which was hilarious. I call her and she answers and instead of hello she says “I have no idea what I’m doing” hahah. I’m like well just talk back and you will be ok.
If anyone gets skype on their computer. Or if you have a fancy cell phone and get it on there let me know.
My first Christmas away from home and family.
However although I dont totally see Hildesheim as a home. The people here are like a home for me. Being around these guys is really like having that house of siblings I always in away wished I had growing up. Now it seems like I found them at last 1/4 of my life through. Just knowing how close we all are now it will be interesting to see how that bound gross towards the end of the semester.
I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday as much as I did. I look forward now to Tuesday my birthday. Marie my friend who is from Wolfsberg is bringing rootbeer so I can make rootbeer floats. Oh the simple joys of life.
I already posted the pictures. Enjoy.
und guten Rutsch ins neu Jahr (and a happy new year - direct translation and good slide into the new year)
Before we came to Italy Beth who is currently living in Spain rented a Lonely Planet (travelers guide) Book to Italy (in Spanish). In its intro to Firenze or as we call it Florence. It said Firenze is one of those places you’ll never forget. And that they wont even begin to waste ink as many poets and great writers before have to describe this irresistible and enchanting city.
And neither will I so that’s Florence people. HA just kidding.
However its kind of true of Italy I think in general. Florence I found to be enchanting and a place where you just were completely bewitched every time you inhaled that Italy air. Rome was mind blowing with vision. You should of seen us as we did a walk around the city our first night there. These great giant significant buildings lit up radiating a even more glorious appeal to them. It literally is like a slap of Greatness right before your eyes. We turn a corner and your mouth just drops in aw. Sometimes its hard to believe what is just right before your eyes.
Also I made the acknowledgment I’m really abroad now haha. I dont know if its cause I’m use to being away before or what. However it took till Italy for me to realize holy crap I’m abroad.
